GM Misa Pap - The Importance of Small Tactics in Endgames - Vd 7: Hero King

Opening: C02, C41, A37: French Tarrasch, Philidor Defence, English Opening Symmetrical

Player(s): Pap, Stojanovic, Schnitzspan, Cebalo

The title says it all, right? We all know that the king becomes a decisive piece in the endgame, and so it should be used. There are theories that in some positions, the king's value in endgames is around 5, whereas a light piece is 3 and so on, as we know. GM Misa has no doubt that this could be the case in some positions! So, you can imagine how important it is to have an active king in an endgame! Even if you know all this too well, this video should be helpful! Enjoy!
