Today is Grandmaster Michail Brodsky's birthday. He was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on March 27, 1969.
Coached by Anatoly Matsukevic and Alexander Vaisman, Brodsky won the Ukrainian championship in 1990.
Brodsky reached his peak rating in January 2007 with 2597 Elo points. In his career, Brodsky defeated super-strong players like Nepomniachtchi, M. Gurevich, Tiviakov, Dreev, Tseshkhovsky, Balashov, and Piket.
Brodsky is a Senior FIDE Trainer. He led the Ukrainian women's team to great successes, such as gold medals at the Chennai Olympiads in 2022, the World Championship in Astana in 2013, and the European Championship in Warsaw in 2013.
