Today is Grandmaster Pawel Blehm's birthday. He was born in Olkusz, Poland, on April 17, 1980.
Blehm was several times Polish youth champion and placed second at the U14 world championship in 1994.
He represented Poland in the 2000 Olympiad and reached his max rating in April 2002 with 2546 Elo points.
Pawel defeated strong players such as Malakhov, Tiviakov, Vallejo, and Cheparinov in his career.
After moving to the US, Blehm created a company dedicated to chess training with Marcin Kaminski.
Blehm is known on the Internet as Pawelek. He retired from competitive chess a long time ago.
