Today is Grandmaster Lorenzo Lodici's birthday. He was born in Brescia, Italy, on April 16, 2000.
Lorenzo was the Italian Champion of U12, U16, and U20 and conquered the national title in 2018.
He represented Italy in two Olympiads (2020 and 2022), three European Team Championships, and four Mitropa Cups, winning a gold (2021) and a silver (2023).
Lodici has a degree in mechanical engineering from Padua University. This month, he reached his peak rating (so far!) with 2565 Elo points.
