These were stopped in June 2018. Do you think it a good idea to re-instate them in ICC Scheduled tournaments? Please let us know your thoughts.

Personally, isn’t that rewarding someone for not being here on time for the start of the tourney? All our scheduled tournaments are clearly marked with time so that our members know what to expect. Most know that they can actually join the tournament 20 minutes prior to start time, so if someone misses the first round, is it fair that they get a 1/2 bye point?? Just sayin’.....

I think it should be relevant to the number of rounds in the tourney.  IMO: A 1/2 Point should be given for Round 1 of a Standard 4-Round and a 1/2 Point for Round 1 In a 7 Round Blitz (or beyond).  Just my 2 cents.

Full point byes should be given to lowest score / lowest rating regardless of when they entered tournament
