Today is the birthday of Grandmaster Stellan Brynell, born in Sweden on September 28, 1962.
Stellan is a two-time Swedish Champion (1999 and 2005). He represented his country in five Olympiads between 1992 and 2004 and five times in the European Team Championship.
He works as a civil engineer. Brynell reached his peak rating of 2534 points in January 2003.
