Today is the birthday of Grandmaster Vitaliy Bernadskiy, born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, on October 17, 1994.
Vitaliy learned chess at age five and was coached by IM Vladimir Grabinsky.
Bernadskiy got his GM title in 2014 and reached his max rating of 2636 Elo points in May 2022.
Vitaliy plays in Italy quite often; he won the "Vergani Cup" in Villorba in 2020 and the "Festival di Catoolica" in 2021 and 2022.
The following game, of which we see the final moves, has been named "The Ukrainian Immortal".
