Today is the birthday of Grandmaster Vasile Sanduleac, born in Balti, Moldova, on January 2, 1971.
Sanduleac is a five-rime Moldavian Champion, titles he won between 2998 and 2008. He represented his country in numerous Olympiads.
Vasile reached his peak rating of 2519 Elo points in July 2006. He was awarded the GM title in 2006.
Sanduleac has been an International arbiter since 2015 and a FIDE Trainer since 2014.
