Today is the birthday of Grandmaster Niclas Huschenbeth, born in Hann, Germany, on February 29, 1992.
Niclas learned to play chess from his father at age 4. Then, he was coached by FM Wolfgang Pajeken and GMs Karsten Müller and Jan Gustafsson.
Huschenbeth is a two-time German Champion (2010 and 2019) and reached his peak rating in November 2019, with 2628 Elo points.
Niclas is an active online trainer; his YouTube channel in 2022 reached 100,000 subscribers and 27 million views.
Huschenbeth has been Nakamura's second on several occasions.
