GM Daniel Fridman

Today is the birthday of Grandmaster Daniel Fridman, born in Riga, Latvia, on February 115, 1976.
Coached by GM Vladimir Bagirov and the brilliant IM Alvis Vitolinsh, Fridman became the Latvian champion in 1996.
Later, he moved to Germany, becoming National Champion three times. Fridman participated in two World Cups and six Olympiads (three with Latvia dn three with Germany),
winning one gold and three bronze individual medals.
Fridman is married to WGM and IM Anna Zatonskih. Daniel has reached his peak rating in October 2012, with 2670 Elo points.
