Congratulations, Hikaru!

GM Hikaru Nakamura, the number-two chess player in the World, is not only living his best time playing chess, but he also reached a very important achievement in his young life: he got married!

Hikaru married WGM Atousa Pourkashiyan.
The couple has kept a low profile on socials, though Atousa has been seen with Hikaru in recent tournaments, such as at the Norway Chess this year, which GM Hikaru won, clinching arguably his greatest victory in an elite tournament.

Atousa Pourkashiyan is an Iranian-American woman Grand Master who changed federation in 2022.
She published a photo of the wedding day on her Instagram account.

Hikaru grew up playing on ICC, and we all here consider him a friend.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple, a new powerhouse in the Chess World!
