GM Petrov’s Mastering the Sicilian Sveshnikov - Video 2

Opening: B33: Sicilian Sveshnikov

Player(s):

In this video, GM Marian shows you what to do in case white doesn't play 6.Ndb5. White can move the knight to many squares. In the case of Nf5, which looks the most active, you should play d5 immediately. Then things could go into an early endgame, which is equal. If the knight moves back to b3 or f3, you should play Bb4 and then push d5 quickly. In many lines, white gets double pawns on the c-file, and black can play for an advantage. In the case of Nde2, you can choose between Bb4 and Bc5. Both give black a good game. Overall all those lines don't give black too much trouble.
