GM Petrov’s Master the Modern Opening for black - Video 10

Opening: :

Player(s):

In this video, GM Marian shows you his top opening against the main lines.
This is a deviation of the Benoni when you delay Nf6. After c5, of course, white could play many moves, and we will take a look at most of them.
But the focus is on d5, then black can quickly play e6. The idea is to take exd5 and go for a quick Bg4 if white does not play h3. After this, you go Bf3, Nd7, and Ne7 with a good game.
This move order avoids the most critical system with f4 and Bb5 because you can first insert a6.
If white goes for the f3 lines, you can play f5 and then develop the knight.
If white goes for the main lines, you can either go into them with exd5 or play Na6 and then Nc7, preparing b5. This leads to a complicated game.
