Every Russian Schoolboy Knows - Endgame Curiosities

Opening: E15:

Player(s): Yuffa, Navara

Over the course of my never-ending sifting through numerous games as they played daily all over the world, I sometimes come across some brain twisting curiosities, mostly of .the endgame kind. The following series of videos will share some of those with you. First one is Yuffa-Navara from the Gibraltar Open, that features a minor piece ending with opposite color bishops and the notorious issue of the wrong color promotion square for White's remaining pawn. I followed this game live and was surprised with the way Navara abandoned his defensive position in favor of a rather desperate counterattacking plan. It took me some time to navigate through some mind-boggling maneuvering to discover possible winning plans for White, but I'm yet to find the solution against Black's best defense. Please, take a look at my analysis, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a 5 minute preview.
