Now Maxime leads his pool, and with two rounds to go, becomes the favorite to access the semifinals.

In Pool B, young Tabatabaei held to a draw the favorite Anish Giri; Vitiugov and Harikrishna drew.

Anish leads by a whole point, and with only two rounds to go, it'll be hard for the other three in Pool B to catch the Dutch GM.
