GM Petrov: Surprise Repertoire for Black after 1.e4 e5, 2.Nf3 - Video 9: 3.d4 d5

This video will show a not-popular line but not so bad. After white goes for the Scotch with 3. d4, black replies with d5. White now has a few options. If 4. exd5, this leads to a Scandinavian line that is not dangerous for black. If Nxe5 black has options for taking on e4 or e5, in both cases keeping the game close to equal. If dxe5, then dxe4, and after that, black probably should take nxd8 with a good game. Other options are Nc3 and Bb5, but in all the lines, I don't see anything too dangerous for black, and I think that line looks like a good surprise choice.
