Aside from verbal abuse, there are several abusive behaviors that involve deliberate manipulation of the rating system
- Intentionally disconnecting in a lost position.
- Disconnecting in order to analyze the position.
- Refusing to resume an adjourned game when the opponent asks. If you censor or "noplay" someone with whom you have an adjourned game, you will probably lose the game by forfeit.
Please report this type of abuse to Adjudication.
Intentionally losing games. Resigning games when you are not lost.
Accepting multiple wins from a player who is intentionally losing.
Using a computer without getting your account added to the computer list. People have the right to know whether they are playing a human or a computer. See "help Speedtrap" for more info.
Account sharing Allowing another person besides you use your account. Using another player's account.
Receiving help from another player or computer while playing a rated game.
Repeating winning lines over and over against a computer, to gain rating points.
Please report this type of abuse to SpeedTrap.
In extreme cases, such as a player who is intentionally losing game after game on purpose, you should contact an admin and alert them to the abusive behavior so it can be stopped.
You can also add the abusive player to your noplay no play list.
