2nd FIDE Grand Prix 2022 - Round 3

Game of the Day in Round 3 is undoubtedly Rapport vs. Vidit.
After round 2, Vidit - with a full score - led Pool C, but today the strong Hungarian GM Richard Rapport defeated the Indian, joining him in the lead with 2.0/3.

Fedoseev defeated Shirov and follows the two leaders half a point behind. With three rounds to go, everything is possible, though Rapport and Vidit remain the favorites.

 

The rest of the games were drawn. In Pool A, Andreikin and Shankland lead with two points, followed by the Frenchman Bacrot half a point behind. Grischuk today collected his first draw, after the losses.
