FIDE Grand Prix in Moscow and St. Louis Spring Classic

Have you noticed that all the chess tournaments end on Sundays? This is the reason for, from this week onward, GM Joel is going to share with you his weekly recap every Monday. Joel will be able to analyze the games of just finished events, providing those of you who weren't able to follow the tournaments with analysis and comments. This weekend saw the end of the all-important FIDE Grand Prix in Moscow. Ding Liren won the tournament, half a point ahead of Shakhriyar Mamedyarov. Mamedyarov has now a rating of 2800, establishing himself into the exclusive twenty-eight-hundred club. Another remarkable fact about the GP is the great tournament that Hou Yifan pulled off, finishing at +1. With such a bunch of 2700+ players, that's not a feat to sneer at! GM Joel analyzes for us the game Hou won against Inarkiev. The last game Benjamin shows us is from the St. Louis Spring Classic, which is taking place right now. The game is fantastic, with Li Ruifeng going all out in a crazy attack vs. Andrey Stukopin. Enjoy!
