GM Joel's Chess Week Recap
Winter Classic 2017 in St. Louis, Bundesliga and 1st Sharjah MastersThis week GM Joel Benjamin brings us action from the St. Louis Winter Classic. The game Joel chose is from Group B, and saw Robert Hess play Irine Sukandar, the first female IM from Indonesia. A brilliant game, in which the semi-retired Hess shows his talent. Then Joel moves on to the uber-strong Bundesliga, to show us an amzing game between Richard Rapport - well known for his originality - and Krassowizkij. The 1st Sharjah Masters is taking place these days - ICC is relaying the top games - and Joel found a couple of pearls from round 1. To finish this week's recap GM Benjamin analyzes for us a game form the Polish Championship, between Gajewski and Jarmula.
