Dmitry Andreikin won the Abu Dhabi Masters ahead of 56 other grandmasters. He mixed technical and attacking play, turning on the jets with three wins to close out with a 7.5-0.5 score. I particularly like his eighth round win over fellow Russian Anton Demchenko. This game illustrates the dynamics of wing play with a blocked center, as Andreikin used his space advantage as a springboard to an attack.
