Areshchenko vs. Karpov - Sberbank Rapid 2013It's good to see Anatoly Karpov play chess, even if he is a long way from the great player he used to be. In the Sberbank Rapid tournament in Kiev, Karpov tried out some new opening strategy. In our featured game, he finds himself under heavy pressure from Ukrainian grandmaster Alexander Areshchenko. Areshchenko sacrificed a pawn early for long-term pressure, forcing Karpov to try to resuscitate his old defensive skills.
