Sinquefield Cup 2016 - Round 4 Video Recap

Opening: D37: QGD: classical variation (5.Bf4)

Player(s): Nakamura, Topalov

A round virtually without a mistake on the board. There are two components that are determining the going of this event: these guys know one another too well, and they are so well prepared that catching them out of guard is almost impossible. We could also include the format of the Grand Chess Tour, as a factor that is leading top chess to become like soccer: to see a goal one has to wait forever. The same top players participate in the top tournaments of the year, and this cannot help the whole setup to be thrilling enough. Anyway, our fine analyst GM Larry Christiansen, in his video recap, shows us the best moments of this second all-draw round in a row. After 4 rounds there is a 4-player tie on top:  Aronian, So, Anand and Topalov, with 2.5 points, followed by Caruana, Nakamura and Ding with 2 points. tomorrow Round 5, at 2pm EDT -- 20:00 CEDT.
