Ronen’s Greatest Hits! - Jose Raul Capablanca #1

Opening: :

Player(s): Capablanca

It is always hard to tell who's the greatest player in history. This is true for any sport: Federer or Nadal in tennis; Maradona or Pele in soccer; and so on so forth. Fischer, Kasparov, Carlsen in chess? Well, for sure Jose Raul Capablanca must be listed among the greatest chess players in history. Capablanca was born in Havana, Cuba in 1888. At age 13, he beat the current Cuban Champion Juan Corso, and then the famous American Frank Marshall in 1909. At that point, he was already one of the best players in the world. It is just impossible to go over all Capablanca's achievement in a short video presentation, but let's just say that the great Cuban dominated the chess scene from 1916 to 1924, with nobody in the world being able to defeat him! GM Ronen Har-Zvi take us on an amazing tour through stories, anecdotes and - of course - brilliant games, to let us know a bit more about this immortal chess champion.
