My opponent plays a calm opening but eventually sees the chance for a speculative piece sacrifice. I defend well and the game becomes equal, but then White tries a second speculative sacrifice, getting several pawns and an attack for a rook. I see that trying to hold on to all the material is very dangerous, so I return some of the material to go into an endgame where I am technically behind in material but actually just winning by force.
