Three-time U.S. Champion GM Joel Benjamin brings you a new show every Friday at 15:00 Server Time. Joel is regarded by many as one of the best commentators and analysts' we have in the game today -- so if you want to get ahead of the game, get ready to tune-in!

As top tier chess increasingly becomes a young man's game, the World Senior Team Championship may provide counterplay for old men. Though most of the strongest chess nations did not field teams, England sent two teams packed with grandmasters.

The presence of Nigel Short, barely eligible for the 50 and over section, could not bring England the gold medal which went to Slovakia. Another big name Englishman, Dr. John Nunn, participated in our feature game. Nunn severely outrated his German opponent Bernd Voekler, but the lesser known player gave Doc all he could handle, producing a seesaw game where all three results looked likely at different stages.
