                            GM Max Dlugy (Dlugy)
GM Dlugy won the World Junior Championship, won the World Open twice, won
the National Open Championship three times, and was President of the USCF. 
Max lives in New Jersey. 

                            IM Ben Finegold (BPF)
IM Finegold tied for first in the US Junior Championship, tied for first
in the 1994 US Open, and won the 1994 US Quick, US Action and US 15-minute
Championships. Ben is 27 and lives in Michigan. 

                            GM Einar Gausel (Kevlar)
GM Gausel has just returned from the Olympiad in Yerevan, has won the
Norwegian Championship twice, has played for Norway in five Olympiads and
the World Junior Championship. Einar is 32 and lives in Norway. 

                            GM Dmitry Gurevich (DGurevich)
GM Gurevich won the US Open in 1988, won the 1996 US Masters with a
perfect score, and tied for first in the 1996 National Open and Midwest
Class Championships. Dmitry is 40 and lives in Illinois. 

                            Hlidar Hreinsson (hitachi)
Mr. Hreinsson won clear first in the Planet Chess Master Qualifier to
advance to this event. He is a chess teacher and on the Board of the
Icelandic Chess Federation. Hlidar is 20 and lives in Iceland.

                            GM Gregory Kaidanov (Kaidanov)
GM Kaidanov has just returned from representing the USA at the Olympiad in
Yerevan. He won the World Open, the US Open and the National Open all in
one year, a unique achievement. Gregory lives in Kentucky. 

                            GM Michael Rohde (kc)
GM Rohde won the US High School and US Junior Championships, won the 1991
US Open, tied for first in the World Open, and won the brilliancy prize at
3 consecutive US Opens. Michael is a tax attorney in New York.

                            GM Gennady Sagalchik (Sagalchik)
GM Sagalchik won the Pan American Intercollegiate Championship 3 times,
tied for 2nd at Linares in 1994, and won the recent Marshall Chess Club
Championship. Gennady is 26 and lives in New York.
