FIREWALL

***** FIREWALL *****

Connecting to ICC through firewalls or proxies

Do you connect through your local area network? A local network usually
connects to the Internet through a firewall (a security measure to control
what is received or sent to the Internet). BlitzIn for Windows can not
connect through some firewalls. Winboard and Icarus can connect through
many firewalls, if you use the right settings. Explore the menu on those
interfaces. On Winboard, the firewall settings are under
Help / Index / Firewalls.

has some more information.

We cannot help you configure your firewall or provide any other
such technical help, and do not provide technical support for
third-party interfaces. The documentation that comes with each
interface is the best place to look.
