On Saturday, April 21, on 12 noon server time, GM Anand, the new number 1 rated chess player in the world, will give a simul on ICC! ICC is currently auctioning off seats for this simul, see http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZinternetchessclub All proceeds from this event will go to Vidyasagar, a non-profit organization that strives for inclusion of children with autism and cerebral palsy. You will also have the possibility to win a seat in the simul by participating in our tournament qualifier, to be held Sunday, April 15, on 5pm server time. The tournament will be 9 rounds, swiss pairings, 3 0 time control. You can take part in the tournament by making a small donation to Vidyasagar via chekels. To be allowed in, do for example: c-offer AnandSimul 10 donation AnandSimul This would donate 10 USD to Vidyasagar, and secure your seat in the tournament. The minimum donation to take part in the tourney is 5 USD/chekels. You can of course also donate any amount without taking part in the tournament. You can confirm that you are allowed to enter after donating by checking the groups in your "finger". It will contain a group "AnandSimul". Please show up timely before the start. PRIZES: One seat will be available for sure to the winner of the tournament. For every 500 dollars raised in this tournament, another seat will be available to the second, third, and so on. On top of that, ICC extensions of 6 months each will be raffled amongst all players who finish the tournament. For every 100 dollars raised in total, one extension will be given away.
