ADJOURN

***** ADJOURN *****

Command: adjourn

Sends a request to your opponent to adjourn the game in progress. If your
opponent had sent a similar request at most one move ago, the game is
adjourned and saved. The game will show up in your "stored" list, and
can be continued later using the "match" or "resume" commands.

You may type "adjourn" when your opponent is out of time to immediately
adjourn the game. The opponent does not have to confirm.

Sometimes a player's clock may fall below zero, and yet not
forfeit the game. This is because that player is lagging.
If ICC can't make a connection with a player for 121 seconds,
it will adjourn the game automatically (unless the game is
played with noescape, in which case the player will forfeit
the game), giving you a 15 second bonus on your clock. If you
wish to waive this bonus time and courtesy-adjourn immediately,
type "adjourn" to force an immediate adjournment.

Games between two registered players are also adjourned if one of the
players gets disconnected from the ICC. We do not forfeit players who
get disconnected, because it is impossible to determine if the
disconnection was intentional, or caused by computer or phone line
problems.

If you never want to have to deal with adjourned games and resuming,
please read "help noescape".
