ABORT

***** ABORT *****

Command : abort
Usage : abort []
Examples: "abort" -- offer to abort your current game
"abort Joe" -- offer to abort your adjourned game with Joe

"abort" sends a request to your opponent to abort the game in progress, thus
ending it with no rating changes. If your opponent issued an abort command
at most one move ago, the game ends with no ratings adjustment. If you
want to save the game (in order to continue it later), you should adjourn it.

If your opponent is out of time, you can use abort, and the game will be
immediately aborted without waiting for the opponent to type "abort". You
can also abort a game on move 1 without the opponent's agreement. Aborted
games are listed in your history, for examination or mailing.

You can also use this command to offer an abort to the opponent of one
of your stored games. For example, "abort Joe" will offer to abort your
stored game with Joe by sending him a message with the offer. If your
opponent is expired, the game will be aborted immediately, without
waiting for the opponent to agree.

Games of accounts that have been expired for over one week are automatically
aborted.
