In Chess its not always what we didnt see that leads to a disadvantage but sometimes its what we didnt look at or how we looked at things.
I remember the time when I was trying to fathom the complexities of our fascinating game all by myself. I could not even understand why certain sequences of moves have names. Fast forward 20 years. Im now the varsity chess coach of two schools. This time I can answer the questions I had 20 years ago.
Questions that new players of this game always ask. If only I had someone back then to help me answer those questions. Who knows where in the Chess World I would be in now. But for now I am glad to be that someone who can enlighten new players about the intracacies of our great game.
