Play Tournaments on the Internet Chess Club!


The Internet Chess Club holds over 500 tournaments every week!  There
are 81 scheduled weekly events, as well as hundreds of impromptu
tournaments for bullet, blitz, standard, and wild variations.

ICC and Tomato will continue to host the special WINNER TAKES ALL cash
prize tournaments throughout December.  These events will take place on
December 3rd, 17th and 31st at 14:00 server time.  In November, GM Hikaru
Nakamura won both tournaments, winning all but two of his twenty-two
games played.  500 USD is given to the winner of each of these 3 0 Swiss,
11-round events.  In addition, various other prizes will be raffled off

The 4 2 Thematic Championship starts December 10th!  All games played
in will use either the Benko Gambit or the Sicilian Dragon openings.
Instructional DVD prizes on these openings will be given to the winners
of the Open and Under 2000 Finals sections.  Here is the schedule of the
qualifiers; each one is a 9-round event:

Saturday, December 10    14:00 EST
Sunday, December 11      12:00 EST
Monday, December 12      19:00 EST
Tuesday, December 13     21:00 EST
Wednesday, December 14    9:00 EST
Thursday, December 15    15:00 EST

The 2005 ICC KriegSpiel (w16) Championship starts December 16th!

The 24-hour Tomato tournament marathon was held on November 12-13th.
207 tournaments with 1,003 total rounds were run over the 24-hour period.
