NEWS 1642 (2-Oct-02) Live Coverage on ICC of $1 million Kramnik-Fritz Match!
The Chessclub.com broadcast team will be showing the games from
the "Brains in Bahrain" match between Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik
and the computer program Deep Fritz. The match will consist of 8 games
played on October 4, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, and 19 in Manama, Bahrain.
Kramnik gets $1 million if he wins, $700,000 if he draws. No info
on how much he gets if he loses.
Kramnik qualified for the match by beating Kasparov in November, 2000,
and Fritz qualified by defeating the program Junior. Deep Fritz will
be running on an 8-CPU Pentium.
Chessclub.com members are welcome to "observe" the games and
"whisper" comments with the other spectators. finger Live
