Live Coverage on ICC of the Dortmund Sparkassen Chess Meeting


The Chessclub.com broadcast team will be showing games from the
Dortmund Sparkassen Chess Meeting from Dortmund, Germany, July 6
to 21.  Grandmasters playing in the event include Topalov, Adams,
Bareev, Morozevich, Gelfand, Leko, Shirov, and Lutz.

Chessclub.com members are welcome to "observe" the games and
"whisper" comments with the other spectators. finger Live
on ICC will give you specific information about the game numbers
to observe. finger Dortmund2002 for results, standings, and other
information.  The games will also be listed in the Event List in
Blitzin, where you can click on the icon to watch while they are
in progress.

Members may watch GMs Svidler, Sutovsky, Dreev and Leitao comment
the days with tournament length games (every day July 6-21, except
the tiebreak days July 12 and 17).  Guests may watch a separate board
with the moves, but without the GM commentary.

The winner of this tournament meets World Champion GM Kramnik in
October 2003 in a match sponsored by Einstein TV.  GM Kramnik won his
title in 2000 by defeating GM Kasparov in a match sponsored by Brain
Games Network.  The winner of that match meets the winner of the FIDE
World Champion GM Ponomariov - GM Kasparov match to reunify the World
Chess Championship.
