LIVE Linares Broadcasts with GRANDMASTER Commentary! is proud to announce that it will be showing games
from the 2001 Linares tournament from Linares, Spain, and will be
providing live commentary online from top Grandmasters!  The tournament
runs from February 23 to March 6.  Starting times for the games have
not been announced yet.  Watch the event listings.

The tournament is a 10-round double-round robin event.  The six
players are Kasparov(RUS 2849), Leko(HUN 2745), Shirov(ESP 2718),
Karpov(RUS 2679), Polgar(HUN 2676), Grischuk(RUS 2663).  How will
Shirov do against Kasparov after not getting the Championship
match he wanted?  How will Judit Polgar do in such an elite
field?  Watch and find out!

Commentators  will be: Round 1 GM Svidler.  Round 2 GM Miles.
Round 3 GM Svidler.  Round 4  GM Sutovsky.  Round 5, 6 GM Miles.
Commentators for the remaining rounds will be announced later. members are welcome to "observe" the games and
"whisper" comments with the other spectators. finger Linares2001
on will give you specific information about the game
numbers to observe and the current standings.  The games will also
be listed in the Event List in Blitzin, where you can click on the
icon to watch while they are in progress.  Guests may watch the
games, but they cannot see the Grandmaster analysis and comments.

The games will be stored in "liblist Linares2001".  Check out
help Cool-Libs for a listing of all the libraries of top
tournaments, matches and players.  As always, you can get live help
on in the help channel: "tell 1 I want to know ...".
