Levon Aronian was born in Erevan, Armenia, on October, 6, 1982. He is one of the elite Grandmasters, and one of the few people to have reached a rating greater than 2800 Elo points. Indeed, Levon achieved the stellar rating of 2830 in March 2014.
Aronian has been the second strongest player in the World for years. He won a number of international super-tournaments, and four gold medals at the chess Olympiads. since November 2021, Levon Aronian plays under the US flag, being a member of the prestigious St. Louis Chess Club.
