Error Creating Database Folder

Hi Folks:

I downloaded and installed ICC for windows.  I received an error (see attached png) that the database folder could not be created.

I installed the update and received the same error.  I uninstalled and re-installed on my D drive thinking it was some kind of permissions error. The account I am installing with is an admin account.  I tried running in compatibility mode, etc. with no luck.

Any ideas?  I can create the folder manually if I knew where to create it (It doesn’t let me select in ICC for Windows).

Thanks,

Matthew

Hi,

I am running win7 with dasher and also blitzen. I don’t use ICC for Windows as it has some problems.

Here is the database I use:

C:\Users\petem\Documents\My Chess Database\MyGames.pgn

(petem is my windows computer account name)

As far as I know you can designate any *.pgn filename at any location as long as you indicate the location in settings.

I am getting the same error, on two different machines.  I posted a bug report several days ago and have not gotten any response as of yet.

Same here, and no response after a week.

Same problem here. Windows 10, updated, using updated ICC for Windows.

The error is seen:
- upon app launch -> reports same error as described above
- unders Settings/Playing/Change games library path -> nothing happens if you click on button change

I’m happy to report that with today’s update, the bug was removed - no error on login and selection of folder is possible. Thanks for the update!
