Members with paid accounts can use third party software of their choice.  Lantern Chess online and More is an alternative to Chess at ICC. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lantern-chess/id743520893?ls=1  We just released 1.4 with clickable hyperlinks.  The console is colored by channel and the board has options to study openings utilizing lantern’s opening database and play a chess engine at chess or variants of chess including crazyhouse.  Just click the board tab’s explore button.  Be interested to see sort of like the Pepsi challenge how lantern ios stacks up to chess at icc.

Lantern is awesome! Best for Linux users.

The iPhone app is 10/10 as well.

Lantern Chess - Online and More 1.5 was accepted by App Store today and is now available.

Some nice new features. Not only a seek a game view, as before, but a seek graph as well.  Drag move possible not just touch touch. This works best on iPad.  Choice of promotion possible not just Auto Queen.  ( drag move and auto queen are settable on the Settings tab).  New presentation of game lists like history.  Long touch on word and release and a menu appears in console with popular context choices on that word/username such as finger, observe, history or liblist.
