Fun facts at the time of writing this:
- 60% of responders here oppose this change
- The average rating of those supporting the change is ~1300
- The average rating of those opposing the change is ~1700

Could we have our membership fees spent on something that at least the majority of members can agree on??

Can’t argue with science, folks!  grin))

I like it as especially playing white it always seems to take 3 seconds off the clock before the first move is recorded. Other than that is has minimal impact as who needs 10 seconds to evaluate the 1st move?

I like it! Sometimes it takes a while to be partnered so this allows me a few seconds to orient myself.

I like it very much.
After doing a seek I often have to wait minutes before anyone accepts it. During this idle time I can watch one of your videos, surf the web, read emails etc. Berfore this feature I often gave up and exited ICC if the waiting time was too long. Or, lost some seconds in the start of one-minute games which of course is a big handicap.

I can understand why people are against this, but there are a few things I experience while playing bullet using Blitzin:
1: The game window pops under whatever I’m currently observing. I need a few seconds to find the correct window.
2: I want to resize or move the game window for my bullet play. I usually play with a smaller window for bullet, than when I observe games.
These things can make me lose a few seconds at the start of a game. But maybe make it 5 seconds instead?

This is a super fantastic feature. Thank you for supporting those in Africa with poor bandwidth. This is why ICC remains undoubtedly the best

Very good idea.  I can’t tell you how many times a player waits in a bullet chess tournament on me and then tries to take me by surprise by playing as late as he can to try and make me wait and surprise me and take time off my clock.  This makes it fair in all the fast tournament games that I play in.  Also very nice for the players that have to wait long amounts of time in the pools when their opponents move right away to have a chance to have equal time after which most of them have drifted off painfully bored waiting for the game.
