Very good idea, but 10 sec is not enough..2 hours should be better, so i could see a film in TV instead of playing chess -:)))

Please please make it so that if you are playing a longer time control game and the internet disconnects for a few seconds, that you can rejoin the game within a certain period of time (ex 3-5 minutes)... I lose about half of my 45|45 games because of this and other servers seem to be able to fix this problem.

Terrible decision. Very often in my games, the opponent uses the first 30 seconds to look at my previous games to see what opening they should play versus me, and obsess over my ratings. Both are UNFAIR in a chess game. In REAL CHESS, there are no additional 10 seconds for you to admire your opponents face. Not to mention its a waste of time for serious chess players who don’t need to stare at profiles and want to go ahead with their games. If you are looking to bring GMs to this site, you have made a big mistake. They will not like this.  It’s weird that the worlds leading Chess Club is adding rules to chess that don’t exist and have never existed in OTB.

that is a good idea, but I would prefer if there would be a posibility to have a look at the score against any opponent in advance and independently - for example in addition to the statistics of somebody!

This makes things less stressful to those not used to the mechanical nature of internet chess.

Also, maybe you could look into the OPPONENT RESIGN button for just me grin

This seems like a reasonable idea.  I applaud the initiative.  It should assist all members, especially in blitz and bullet games.  Bravo!

I totally disagree with this decision. Definetly reverse it for 1-min/bullet games.

The problem is that in openings that opponents don’t know, they get -extra- time to think of a setup. Just insanely pointless and imo unfair.

A good idea for 1-minute chess. Thanks!

I do not like this idea. I think the time should stay as it is.

I don’t think this is a good idea. You start the game with x minutes and can use this time as you wish - I don’t see why people who wish to use it to nose around in another player’s history or enter commands such as pstat such get their time refunded.

A very bad idea, please reverse it. I don’t want my opponents to wade through my game history while I’m sitting (twiddling thumbs) and waiting for them to start the game.
Especially 1-minute games usually start very fast, it usually takes LESS than 10 seconds to find a game. So now I’m having to (potentially) wait longer than before !

Not a good idea.  An unnecessary innovation.  The whole point of speed chess is to knock
out some games quickly.  What’s next, a 10 sec intermission so that the opponent can grab a cup of coffee?  If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Of all the things you need to do to improve the ICC experience, this has to be in the bottom 1%. And if you ask me, it makes the experience worse. There is no need for this and nobody should be trying to look up someone’s history during their games anyway. Go back to the old way.
