If I am playing anything other than 3 0, then I am tolerating your time preference. Expect a decline to rematch.
I used to have a finger note here that said "If you are 500 or 600 points below your peak, I DON"T WANT TO PLAY AGAINST YOU", and it's still true, but then it actually happened to me when my own age, and a glass of wine convinced me that alcohol would not impair my chess analysis.
Maybe ICC needs a rating floor, I don't know. But FOR CERTAIN it is unfair too see someone in your rating window on the seek graph who has a peak blitz rating above 21 or 2200. It happens all too often.
At any given moment, usually against me, this person recovers mastery for 15 minutes, and extracts 50 or 75 hard fought rating points. It just seems unfair to have to try to beat someone with an astronomical (relative) best rating.

A triton is a being from greek mythology, half-fish half-man; also a real (as opposed to mythic) gastropod with colorful, spiral shells.
When I went to create this account I wanted an oceanic themed handle which wasn't available. So I started with "triton" as a substitute, and added "sea" to distinguish it from steel and other definitions.
