Channel Tells

Channels allow users to communicate with each other on certain subjects without having to sort through all the chatter on the entire server. Many channels have a title which describes the content to which it is dedicated.

Instructions for updating your email address can be found here

To speak in a channel, simply enter the text in the text entry line at the bottom of the window and hit the [Enter] key and your words will be displayed to all who are in that channel.

During your chats, you can use emoticons to express yourself

You can choose which channels you have open by clicking on the My Channels icon in the Main Toolbar.

You can toggle the Channel Tabs under the Channel Console. For this you go to the Appearance tab of the Settings Dialog. You can choose to have the tabs show only numbers, only names, both or no tabs at all. When you choose to uncheck Channel Tabs, it will put everything (shouts, channels, etc.) in one console. You will then need to use the tell command. Example: tell 1 How do I change my email?

In some channels, it is very important to pay attention to what is appropriate for the channel you are talking in. Some channels are reserved for special topics, others for more general conversation. For instance, channel 103 is for religion so politics is inappropriate there and has its own channel 97.

Please also remember to stay within the boundraries of the rules in help atmosphere.

Please also keep in mind that ICC has people young and old of all sorts from every corner of the world. If you couldn't or wouldn't say it in a room full of real people, you shouldn't say it in a chat channel either.
