Some of the most fun (and potentially profitable) events on the The Internet Chess Club are the Prize Tournaments. Presently, there are several, including the Sleepless series, Tomato Weekday tournaments and the Daily Standard. The best news is that you don't have to be Kasparov to win a prize in these events -- There are class prizes as well! The prizes consist of membership extensions, chess software and sometimes even cash prizes.

How do I know if I won a prize?
Generally, you know right away! Sometimes however, one has played well, but either leaves slightly early or might have won a class prize that is determined later. Prizes are announced in the server news, so read through the latest postings for the prizes awarded in your tournament..
