Kibitz Options

While kibitzing has its place, in some cases it can be irritating. In the Other Settings section of the Playing 2 tab, there are two options you can set to reduce or eliminate unwanted game chatter.

Un-check the Receive kibitzes and whispers checkbox if you don't want to see any kibitzing or whispering.

Check the Only from titled players option to filter out all kibitzes except from:

       FIDE Titled Players
       (DM) Display Masters

Display Master ICC title On the Internet Chess Club, people have the choice of seeing no comments, all comments, or only titled commentary, when watching games. The titled commentary automatically includes all players with FIDE FM, IM, and GM titles. A few other people are granted temporary titles called DM (Display Master), so that their comments can also be seen by those who are listening to the titled commentary. These are usually admins, chess authors or strong masters. A few computers are also granted "DM" titles so the computer evaluations can be seen by ICC members watching the match.
