Channels Window

The Channels window is where almost all non-game communication takes place. Each tab along the bottom represents a different channel. The tab you are currently viewing is displayed in white.

You can use emoticons in the tabs by right-clicking in the typing area and selecting an icon:

The first channel is always the MAIN console, the control room and public address system for the server. This is where the command line interface lives, and where important server announcements, challenges, and other information is displayed. Because of the large amount of information, the tab for the main console only changes color for items directed explicitly at you, e.g. challenges and personal tells.

All other channels are optional, and many are dedicated to a specific topic, such as chess theory, advanced help, and sports.
