Ask a Question

To send a question to the volunteer helpers and administrators, go to the Help tab and select Ask a Question:

After you have asked your question and pressed OK, please be patient. It may take a few minutes for the volunteers to find an answer and answer your question.

Answers to questions are usually given in the HELP channel. Click on the channel tab to see your answer:


A helper may decide to not to answer your question in the Newbie Help Channelbecause the question or answer contains personal information or is not of general interest for everyone or other reasons. In this case, the helper will answer you in a personal Chat Window.

If you are disconnect when your question is answered, you will get the answer in a message.

Q: I don't have a help channel. What should I do?
A:You need to subscribe to the help channel by visiting the View tab and selecting My Channels or you can click +channel 1
 
Q: The helpers didn't have an answer. Are there any other forms of help available?
A:Yes. Many of your questions can be answered by clicking the icon located in the top right corner of each window in Dasher. If that help does not answer your question, please visit the FAQ Database and type in your question. You can also subscribe to the Experienced help channel (View tab --> My Channels) and ask in that channel.
 
Q: I'm experienced with ICC and I would like to help. How do I apply to become a helper?
A:ICC is always looking for experienced members to help! To apply to become an official ICC helper, please visit " help helper" for more information.
 
Q: How do I report bugs, suggest new features, or give feedback?
A:
  • For the Dasher client, send a message to DasherBugs
  • For all other areas of ICC, send a message to suggestion.
