Attack with LarryC: Shirov cooks up Fresh Fried Liver

Opening: C57: two knights defense: Fegatello attack (Fried Liver)

Player(s): Shirov, Sulskis

The Chess Olympiad in Tromso, Norway, provided a lot of material to the analysts like our tactician GM Larry Christiansen. Among over 5,000 games, there are some real gems. Today Larry, after delighting us with a nice attacking combo, shows us a game that seems to come from the past century, with an opening that nowadays is not used so often: the Fried Liver attack. The uber-famous Latvian GM Alexey Shirov used this ancient opening against the Lithuanian GM Sarunas Sulskis.
