Attack with LarryC: A Modern Classic from 1943

Opening: B80, E12: Sicilian: Scheveningen - fianchetto variation, Queen's Indian: 4.Nc3

Player(s): Ravinsky, Panov, Lindsay, Ivanov

Today Larry shows us a couple of great attacking games. He starts off with a nice combination by the late Igor Ivanov; a popular figure especially among Russia and USA chess fans, Igor was probably the strongest IM in the world for many years. He was quite a fascinating player, creative and energetic, and the combo Larry shows us today demonstrates it all. Then Larry moves on with showing us a pearl, a true classic from 1943, played between Ravinsky and Panov. The game looks incredibly modern, and Larry himself says: This could have been played just 5 minutes ago. Enjoy yet another episode of the acclaimed ICC show "Attack with LarryC!".
