Learning how the Bishop moves
Here is a set of diagrams showing the different
movements of the
Bishop, every possible move is indicated with an arrow:

When the Bishop is in the center of the board,
it can move to 13 different squares
|
|
In this position, the Bishop is restricted in its movements by its
own pieces, as it cannot jump over pieces, it can only go to 5
different squares.
|
As we can see from these diagrams the Bishop can move diagonally, all the way until it meets an obstacle (end of board or a piece).
