Rules :: Learning how the Bishop moves
Here is a set of diagrams showing the different movements of the Bishop, every possible move is indicated with an arrow:


When the Bishop is in the center of the board, it can move to 13 different squares


In this position, the Bishop is restricted in its movements by its own pieces, as it cannot jump over pieces, it can only go to 5 different squares.

As we can see from these diagrams the Bishop can move diagonally, all the way until it meets an obstacle (end of board or a piece).
